Chairs in Kas, Turkey

Left Olympos at 7 AM and stopped in Kas for lunch. Kas is a small coastal town built on the side of a mountain, in fact it looks like what you would expect an town on the Italian coast to have looked like 80 years ago. It has one of the best Roman Theaters you will ever see and there are many Roman Tombs and sarcophagus in town and surrounding hills. When I stayed there two years ago you could still buy a two story villa on a cliff forty feet over the ocean with pool for $300,000. The kind of villa you see in Italian movies. the town has two harbors, one protected by a long peninsula and one by the Greek island a few miles offshore. In one harbor couple boat builders still build large wooden boats by hand as they have done for years.
