There is a city bus route  that goes around the town and it seemed like a good way to see the town. The old city is easy to walk because of it's size But Jerusalem is not only a large city but is really set on a collection of hills. Some of the hills are so steep they have hand rails for the sidewalks.
Not only is it a big city but everywhere you go there is construction and large cranes seem to dominate the horizon. All the construction,modern or ancient, seems to be done with light colored stone blocks.
