Aqaba is a large city but is is not uncommon to see camels in town including this guy exercising his camel as he drives his car. My brother even rode his camel to Mc Donalds. Talk about east meeting West.

Today drove an hour and a half south of Wadi Musa, Petra, to visit Aqaba. On overland trips Aqaba is where our ship from the Sinai docked. From here we have only a short drive to Wadi Rum.
