The Greek Orthodox Church of St George in Madaba Jordan just down the street from the hotel has a large map done in mosaics on the floor. This map is considered the oldest map in the world and fragments that are left show parts of the Middle East including the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, and parts of Jordan and Israeli.
