Went to Jordan River this morning, hired a guide to avoid the cattle car tour bus as you must be in a group with a guide or hire a guide to go in your car. The width of the river varies and at times has been over 300 feet wide creating numerous channels when the water goes down. A few days ago after a hard rain it had been impossible to get to the site. Today the river was very narrow and the spot claimed to be the baptism site was an isolated pool. It seems like every religion want a church on the site. In addition to Greek, Russian, Coptic, there were several others including a large Catholic church under construction.
