Gunsmoke Set
One of the first TV shows I remember watching was "Gunsmoke". My Parents didn't have a TV when I lived at home but my Grandparents did. Grandpa loved to watch westerns and boxing and that was what we watched on the TV that got only two channels, three if you could get the rabbit ears just right.
Just this month James Arness who played Marshal Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke died at the age of 88 at his home in LA.
These two photos were taken at the ruins of saloon where some of the scenes for the show were shot.

Back Home
After a month in Santa Fe we are back home. It's been a long time since I have spent any of the summer here but I have a project to print for a gallery in Istanbul and then in a few weeks will be back in Colorado. This is a photo from the May trip in northern Arizona and Utah which I consider my back yard. The great part is that where ever I travel to it's always great to be back home. Will try to post some more photos from the back yard while working on this project on Turkey.

Santa Fe Ski Basin
The ski basin is on a mountain just north east of Santa Fe. In the fall the entire mountain side seems to turn yellow as all the Aspen turn color.

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Have a couple weeks left in Santa Fe and hope to see some good weather for photography. Last week while we were in the studio there were some great clouds and even some snow but it is now warmer and the weather is "severe clear" giving only harsh light but the forecast is for some clouds the next few days.
